Question: What medical conditions would require part time wheelchair use?

Apart from a broken leg or due to an accident and are rigid wheelchairs better than folding ones

Spina bifida and cp. It depends on what you need really. I only do rigid wheelchairs.

A lot of diseases and conditions will leave you weak to the point that you cannot walk for long and would need a chair part time. In cases like this, most people will choose a folding chair for better portability and easier storage.

There are also many different reasons for having to use a wheelchair, such as arthritis. In regards to Rigid vs Folding wheelchairs, this largely depends on how you will be using the wheelchair. Folding wheelchairs offer the advantage of being transported easily and without any special sort of wheelchair carrier. Rigid wheelchairs, on the other hand, offer a number of performance improvements, which is why many sports wheelchairs are rigid. However, they are not as easy to transport.
